I hope you all had an amazing Easter weekend :) I went home and spent some days with my family.
As you probably know, I live and work in Milan, but I was born in the south of Italy, where my family lives. I don't get to see them very often, so I treasure those moments and whenever I have the chance I try to spend some time with them. Going home also means that I can share with you my travel makeup bag, full of amazing goodies. Let's start :)

Spero che abbiate tutti passato una felice Pasqua :) Io sono tornata a casa e ho passato alcuni giorni con la mia famiglia. Come probabilmente sapete, io vivo e lavoro a Milano ma sono originaria del sud Italia (Puglia), dove ho "lasciato" la mia famiglia. Non torno a casa spesso, motivo per cui ogni volta che posso cerco di fare tesoro di questi momenti e di godermeli pienamente. Tornare a casa però significa anche preparare una makeup bag da viaggio e condividerla con voi, che è il motivo principale per cui sto scrivendo questo post. Iniziamo :)

MAKEUP
In the past years I used to bring way too much makeup with me wherever I went, but now I can safely say that I'm pretty happy about my packing skills -but only when it comes to makeup.
I took with me my Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer because it's the only travel size I have. For foundation I brought the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue, my one and only for when I want some radiance and a relaxed and fresh look. Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer has become my new favourite concealer because it's extremely creamy and doesn't go into the fine lines around the eyes. This base doesn't need to be set, but I like to set at least my T-zone with my Too Faced Primed & Poreless Loose Powder and finish off with my Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray. For my cheeks I only took with me the Urban Decay Afterglow 8 hour Blush in Fetish.
For my eyes some other favourites: L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara, (my all time favourite mascara), Deborah Milano 2in1 Gel Kajal Pencil in Black, the Neve Cosmetics Manga Brow and Nabla's Crème Shadow in Caffeine.
I brought with me only two lipsticks, the Absolute Lasting Liquid Lipsticks by Deborah Milano (shades 07 and 15).
Negli scorsi anni ero solita portare con me troppe cose ovunque andassi, ma ora posso dire di essere soddisfatta della mia capacità di"ridurre" la quantità di prodotti che porto con me, almeno per quanto riguarda il makeup. Questa volta ho portato il Photo Finish Foundation Primer di Smashbox perché è l'unica mini taglia che avevo disponibile. Come fondotinta ho scelto il Complexion Rescue di Bare Minerals, il prodotto su cui faccio affidamento per avere una pelle radiosa e un look fresco. Il Naked Skin Concealer di Urban Decay è diventato il mio preferito perché non va nelle pieghette e non enfatizza la secchezza della zona contorno occhi. Questa base non necessita di essere fissata, ma per sicurezza tendo a fissare almeno la zona T con la Primed & Poreless Loose Powder di Too Faced. Come tocco finale, l'All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray di Urban Decay. Per le guance ho deciso di portare con me un unico prodotto, ossia l'Afterglow 8 hour blush di Urban Decay nella tonalità Fetish.
Per quanto invece riguarda gli occhi, ho scelto altri preferiti: il Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara di L'Oreal, la 2in1 Gel Kajal Pencil di Deborah Milano, la matita per sopracciglia Manga Brow di Neve Cosmetics e il Crème Shadow di Nabla nella tonalità Caffeine.
Strano ma vero ho portato con me solo due rossetti, gli Absolute Lasting Liquid Lipstick di Deborah Milano nelle tonalità 07 e 15.

SKINCARE
As for skincare, I took with me some travel sized products I had around. To wash my face in the morning and at night I used the Origins Checks and Balances Frothy face wash, which was a nice discovery. To moisturize my skin I used the Origins GinZing Energy-boosting moisturizer -an old favourite that I recently bought again in full size- and for my undereyes I used the Dermolab Anti-wrinkle undereye gel. I forgot to bring with me an SPF so I went out and bought the Frais Monde Anti-wrinkle Face Sun Gel, which is really nice even under makeup and has a 50+ SPF, perfect for my pale skin.
Per quanto invece riguarda la skincare, stando via davvero pochi giorni e avendo solo il bagaglio a mano ho ripiegato su alcuni prodotti in travel size che avevo in giro. Come detergente ho utilizzato il Checks and Balances Frothy face wash di Origins, che è stata una bella scoperta. Come crema idratante ho utilizzato la crema GinZing Energy-boosting di Origins, vecchia gloria che ho recentemente riacquistato anche in full size. Per il contorno occhi, il Gel contorno occhi di Dermolab. Ho dimenticato di portare con me la protezione solare, quindi sono andata in erboristeria e ho comprato il Gel Solare viso SPF50+ di Frais Monde, la cui texture mi piace tantissimo anche sotto al trucco, cosa non da poco.
