H&M Beauty - Swatches and First Impressions

Penso sia abbastanza ovvio che non so resistere alle novità, specialmente in campo di makeup. Quando ho iniziato a vedere sui vari blog inglesi le prime foto e le prime recensioni della nuova linea makeup di H&M ho letteralmente iniziato a fare il conto alla rovescia perché non vedevo l'ora di pucciare le dita nei nuovi prodotti. Lo scorso fine settimana, FINALMENTE, sono andata nello store di San Babila a Milano e ho avuto modo di vedere con i miei occhi i prodotti. C'è davvero di tutto e la qualità mi sembra anche molto buona! Il packaging mi ha piacevolmente sorpresa, è tutto molto elegante ma allo stesso tempo pratico e compatto. Ho puntato un paio di ombretti singoli molto interessanti sui quali sicuramente farò un pensierino. Ecco cosa ho preso.

Let's face it, I get excited whenever I see something new, especially if it's makeup. As soon as I started seeing swatches and reviews of the new H&M beauty line I literally started counting down the days because I wanted to try all those amazing new products. Last weekend I was finally able to do so. It's a lot of stuff, a lot of amazing stuff. I tried almost everything in store and I'm impressed by the quality and the packaging of the new products. It's classy but compact and practical at the same time, I really like it. Let me show you what I got. 

Colour Essence Eye Cream - Gentlewoman (5.99€)

E' stato il colore di questo ombretto in crema a farmi cedere: si tratta di un marrone/borgogna con microglitter dorati che a mio parere è perfetto per questa stagione. Non ho ancora avuto modo di testare "intensamente" questo prodotto, però le mie prime impressioni sono molto positive. 

The color of this cream eyeshadow made me buy it. It's a maroon/burgundy color with golden microshimmer in it, perfect for fall. I haven't tried it on my eyes yet, but my first impression is really positive. 

Eye Colour Palette - Aubergine Dream (12.99€)

E' stato difficile scegliere questa palette perché tutte le altre erano altrettanto belle, però come sapete ho un debole per questi colori. Trovo gli ombretti molto pigmentati (anche i colori opachi) e omogenei nella scrivenza. Sono un po' polverosi ma ciò non influisce sul mio giudizio -per ora positivo- perché comunque il fallout non è eccessivo. Gli swatches che vedete qui sotto sono stati realizzati senza primer. Questa palette mi ha conquistata anche a livello di packaging: trovo infatti che il nero per i prodotti cosmetici conferisca una eleganza non da poco. Lo specchio interno è bello grande e sicuramente apprezzato.

There were lots of amazing palettes, but you know that my comfort zone is made by those colors. The shadows are pigmented -even the matte ones - and blend nicely. Some shades are a little bit dusty but it's not a problem for me because the fallout is not that much. The swatches you see in the pictures are made without primer. I find this palette really beautiful also for the packaging and I appreciate the mirror inside because it's a good and big one.  

Pure Radiance Powder Blusher - Cherry (7.99€)

Da appassionata di blush quale sono, non potevo non provarne uno. La scelta è stata anche qui abbastanza difficile perché c'erano un sacco di colori interessanti. Questa volta ho puntato su qualcosa di diverso, leggermente al di fuori della mia comfort zone. Come suggerisce il nome, questo blush è una specie di rosso ciliegia, completamente opaco. E' estremamente pigmentato quindi devo applicarlo facendo molta attenzione avendo una carnagione molto chiara. Sono molto curiosa di provare anche qualche altro colore più chiaro per vedere se la pigmentazione è la stessa. Questo è l'unico pezzo ad avermi leggermente "delusa" in termini di packaging. E' molto leggero e "plasticoso" e la mancanza dello specchietto interno mi porta quasi a non giustificare il prezzo medio/alto del prodotto. 

I'm a blush hoarder so I HAD to pick at least one shade. Here I decided to step out of my comfort zone and pick something berry, something darker than the shades I usually use. As the name of this blusher suggests, it's a nice dark red/cherry shade, completely matte. This is extremely pigmented and I have to apply it really carefully because I'm pale and this could end up really bad in a matter of seconds. I'm really curious to see if the lighter shades are pigmented as well. The packaging on this one product disappointed me a bit: I find it to be too "plastic" and I would have liked a mirror inside it for the price I payed for it.
